Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
Rubicon Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 I have activated the "calendar block" on my forum, it pulls 5 upcoming events from my calendar. But for some reason it can only be viewed when logged in. Guests can't see any events in the block. I have checked permissions settings for the guest group. I also looked at the settings for the block, not much to change there. Please help :-)
Nathan Explosion Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 No issues here - just did a quick test. Calendar permission is set to be viewed by guests ('See calendar') and events are allowed to be viewed ("View Events") - logged out, and can see an upcoiming event without issue. If you disable the "See Events" permission then the block still displays, as does the event, however when I attempt to view it then I'm not allowed. You said "I have checked permissions for the guest group" - what exactly have you checked?
Rubicon Posted May 20, 2016 Author Posted May 20, 2016 Hi! Thanks for Your answer. I have checked permissions for the guest in two places. Member / Groups / permissions. Guest: "see calendar", "View Events" Community / Calendars / my calendar : Guest: "see calendar", "View Events" The "calendar block" has some settings but nothing "permissions related" :-)
Nathan Explosion Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 Exactly what I have, and works: https://test.ynwa.tv/ If it is not working for you then log a ticket with support.
Rubicon Posted May 20, 2016 Author Posted May 20, 2016 I solved it. Removed the Calendar Block and then added it again, now it works :-)
