Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
Lunars Posted May 6, 2016 Posted May 6, 2016 So, I followed this: https://support.cloudflare.com/hc/en-us/articles/200170756-How-do-I-restore-original-visitor-IP-with-IPB-Invision-Power-Board- but I still get visitors with the wrong IP in the forums... and I don't know how to fix that.
IveLeft... Posted May 8, 2016 Posted May 8, 2016 You definitely have the slide bar in green ? The only other thing i have had issues with for IP Forwarding is Varnish Cache on the server
Lunars Posted May 9, 2016 Author Posted May 9, 2016 9 hours ago, Cloud 9 said: What about Varnish Cache ? I turned it off for my domain so I'll see when the change comes into effect.
Lunars Posted May 9, 2016 Author Posted May 9, 2016 Nah there was no change @Cloud 9 . Is there a way I can add this: if (isset($_SERVER["HTTP_X_REAL_IP"])) $_SERVER["REMOTE_ADDR"] = $_SERVER["HTTP_X_REAL_IP"]; Anywhere in IPB?
IveLeft... Posted May 9, 2016 Posted May 9, 2016 Did you turn off cloud flare and varnish and kill the caches - did you look at the site to see how it was loading in a dev window (ie to see if varnish etc was still active) As far as i know there is no problem using cloudfalre and running varnish if the right things are in place
