Ban users

It would be nice to move banned users to a new group with no permission (or some permissions, configurable).

When a user is banned, nobody knows this. At least a custom title - "Banned" - that can be seen be everyone (on its forum posts) should have while they are banned...

@Daniel Tomescu You can do that already. You just have to create a "Banned" group and when you choose to ban someone choose to move them into that group (it is an option).

This is what I have been doing. But I don't think moderators can change a members user group, can they?

You can give them permission in Staff - Administrators.

No, I don't believe so. At that point you would need to use the rule.

This has been discussed before and if I remember correctly it's not planned to be a stock feature anymore for privacy reasons for banned users.
