Sidebar widget for WordPress

Hey guys. So I'm looking to embed some sort of script to my WordPress website as a widget or part of a page to show things like recent topics, amount of users etc.

What's the best way to do this?

You can achieve this with the Pages application Blocks.
Create a block with the recent topics and then use the "External embed" feature, which will provide you all the necessary code which you then just need to c&p into your wordpress theme.
