Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
Tom Irons Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 I've got a couple questions here. Is there a way to set the default timezone for all users? How would a user change their own timezone? When I set my own timezone from the ACP to New York or Detroit it says it saves, but the time is still using Abidjan. I've tried to set it and save, then set it back to automatic, but it will still default back to Abidjan. This is super annoying, anyone know how to fix it? Update: I just looked in the database and my account has America/Indianapolis set as the timezone, but still the preference tab in the ACP are way off.
MADMAN32395 Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 IIRC it's auto detect . and may also pickup from server as well.
Tom Irons Posted March 8, 2016 Author Posted March 8, 2016 But why is it detecting my timezone to be Abidjan? The IPS cookie says America/Indianapolis but all the times are 5 hours ahead of my actual time.
MADMAN32395 Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 Random thought. But do you have your web server and php's timezone set? Not sure if that would affect to get it corrected, but worth a shot. I have mine set, and havnt had this issue myself or any of my clients.
Tom Irons Posted March 8, 2016 Author Posted March 8, 2016 I've got it set to America/New_York. Yet it just doesn't want to work.
