Moderation of new db records

Hello,

we created a db with enabling "Moderate new records" but this feature only works when the record is new.

If the author edits the record the record is not being set back to "moderate". From my point of view this is absolutely necessary if I enable the moderation. Otherwise the author could add good content during first creation and add the bad stuff afterwards; and no moderator will take care of it.

Was this your intention? Could you please add this additional moderation step?

I agree to the need for a moderation for record edits. 

However, the procedure should work differently. An edit shouldn’t put the record back into review mode. That would hide the record from the public and can cause all sort of problems. Instead the old version should be kept online and then replaced by the new one once it was approved.

This would be the perfect solution. I agree.

But the current procedure could be dangerous.
