Howto show More Topics at forum index page

In IPB 3.x there were settings to change number of topics at the Forum Index page. I set to 50.
In IPB 4.1.x, these configuration are missing.

Question: Any DB setting I can set directly to change th default number.

1. I have changed the default value to NO EFFECT in the following tables:

Table conf_setting  
display_max_topics = 30 changed to 50

There's no display_max_topics setting in 4.x . This row should have been deleted while the 3.x to 4 upgrade from the db table.

1. The row is still in my DB when I updated to 4.1.5.x. But I guess it has NO effect.

2. Is there any variable I can "hard-coded" to get the effect ?
