nylyon Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 In 3.4 you could set everyone's skin to defailt, I don't see that as an option in 4.0? I have a Christmas theme which I would like everyone to see but it'll only work if they never changed their theme before.
tAPir Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 I'm not sure of the right answer but when you are in the ACP>Customization page - over on the right hand side of the skin name - isn't there a drop down arrow that lets you set the theme as the Members Theme? or does that not do what you want?
TexFanatico Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 Normally the aTAPir's solution must work but if you still have some issues (as I had/have) you can make an update query on your DB.
nylyon Posted December 14, 2015 Author Posted December 14, 2015 @tAPir Yes, that will work for an individual member who I know. So here's the deal.... I want the "White Christmas" theme to be viewed by everyone on the forum. If a member had previously selected a theme, even if it's the forum's default, they will NOT be able to view this theme when I make it the default, and I don't know who they are. I just want to set everyone to the default as could be done in 3.4 @TexFanatico The query is quite simple "update `ipb_core_members` set `skin` = 0;", however I was looking for a way in the ACP to do that as I don't like direct DB access to do things like this.
tAPir Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 Then I'm still not understanding - I thought that set that particular theme for ALL members?
nylyon Posted December 14, 2015 Author Posted December 14, 2015 well, now I feel stupid.... You're absolutely correct, must be old age... Thank you
