Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
jp Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 I have a google ad in the sidebar. This displays in the top right. How can i add another google ad further down the sidebar. I would like the google ad to be created in the IPS advertisements feature. I can define a custom location, but not sure how to create a location that is in the sidebar further down under under several other widgets Would be good if IPS Advertisements were a widget you could drag and drop into location...
iacas Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 I think you could probably make your own block. Though you'd have to display the one ad the whole time, I think.

You can. :-) Just create your IPS Advertisment, then create a custom block. You want to select Type = custom, Editor = Manual PHP. Then just paste your advert's custom location tag in the content like so: {advertisement="my_location_tag"} Back on the front end, open up the Manage Blocks panel, and find your custom block under Pages>Custom (or wherever you saved it). Drag it into your sidebar, and you're done!
