The FAQ System allows Administrators to create custom questions and answers and display them anywhere on their site.

• Uses the full IPB Editor
• Group Questions into FAQ Collections to show different questions on different pages
• Display Collections easily on any page, in any IPS component
• Answers are displayed in a popup window so users are not taken to another screen

A new version has been uploaded to the Marketplace. Changes include:

• Bread Crumbs were duplicated on the question page. Fixed.
• HTML in the title/description broke some meta tags. Fixed.
• Search-related language strings were missing. Fixed.
• Search Index is automatically rebuilt on upgrade (previous version did not index existing questions, causing them to be omitted from search).
• New setting in the ACP (under Community -> FAQ -> Settings) to determine whether answers should show in a popup or as a separate page.

Is it possible to inject a unique class into the ipsDialog div that we could then style the rest of the pop-up output against? I feel like this is tapping into core modules for output so make that's not possible but I thought I'd ask.

It doesn't have any club-specific features. Can you please provide more detail on how you'd like to use it?

I want to allow club owners to create own FAQ sections in their clubs.

I'd love to see some examples of this in action. I think this may be something I am looking for. Links appreciated!

I just bought and downloaded the FAQ system and get the message that the feature is offline. Do you have an idea?

And can I change the title FAQ-Systems to FAQ?

I just ran a rebuild of my site's existing content and got an error. Posted in Support (https://invisioncommunity.com/forums/topic/468986-ran-a-rebuild-of-links-now-error/#comment-2903674) and it was suggested that the FAQ app might be at play.

Rather than copy the entire error and pollute the thread here, could you check it out there. And the support response I got was that the FAQ app was is using \IPS\Member::loggedIn() where it shouldn't be used.

Hi. Following up on an old post. I have club owners asking for an FAQ. Is there any chance of making the FAQ into a club feature thus allowing any club who wants it, their own FAQ?

Possibly, but not any time in the next couple of weeks. I'm swamped.

 

The file referenced in the screenshot does not exist. You may need to manually delete it from your server... but it's definitely not part of the distribution, not for quite some time.

Thanks, I manually deleted that file (FAQ.php) and the PHP8 incomp warning disappeared.

However, now the FAQ system application shows up as "locked" in my dashboard list of applications, and I cannot unlock it myself, the IPB software asks for an updated version.
