IP Downloads regret and Ip Chat disappointment

I recently renewed my ip downloads app and now I'm wondering why?????

The script has the ability to download without the app which is why I wonder why the module was created in the first place... it's a waste of money and it's expensive.  The original version of Ip Downloads was simple.... this new version is deliberately made complicated.... I can promise I wont renew it in 6 months I will sell it... I'm glad that I didn't renew my ipnexus.... I wasn't happy with that product either after I purchased it.... I was considering completing my board but now I'm not feeling that way.

Visually the software is nice but technically it's is not the software it once was.... all these constant upgrades and renewal fees for software that is not what it should be.  I'm trying not to be negative but I am extremely disappointed with my add on apps that I paid for  NOT HAPPY AT ALL.

I try to create a category in my ip downloads and the app doesn't seem like it will allow me to create them which means I can't use the app that I paid for... I should not have to contact the company over something that was clearly deliberately made for company contact... because it doesn't seem to allow for creating categories.. am I missing something here???????????????

I don't know what to think.... maybe the company should focus on the core and the board and allow another company to make better add ons with less complications.  I'm viewing other software hoping to find something with less headaches

One more thing if IP chat is suppose to be free for 5 users then why wasn't I able to download it.....?????///  Seems like things are becoming petty - maybe I'm just over sensitive but none of this is feeling right

Hm, there seems to be something wron on your site. IP.Downloads supports multiple categorys. You should tell us more details, so we know what happened (Errormessages, etc).
This should not be a big deal Off course you can also put in a supportticket to staff...

It's available to download for people with a active license from the clientarea  If it's missing, ask IPS-Accounting whats wrong with your account.

If you're having trouble with any feature of the software, you should contact IPS Support who will be happy to take a look at the problem.  It could be a variety of issues: not setting the permissions, badly configured server settings, or a bug that was fixed in later releases.  The rest of us have functioning IP.Downloads that allow us to create categories, so you should contact IPS Support to isolate the issue for your particular circumstance.

Thank you all for your advice but I did send a support ticket... I am an experienced person with scripts and there is nothing wrong with the server but there is a problem with the script... I know this because I have used various hosting accounts with different companies and having the same issue.... I have not had good results with either and I have properly set permissions.... when I try to upload something it says that I can't upload it it but it doesn't say why.   I can upload everything else if I just do it by uploading the item directly to the forum but I have problems with doing it through IP downloads and I had a problem with nexus which is why I refuse to renew it.... I'm so tired of this I just prefer to sell off my licenses and just be done with the software...which is why I am hoping to get info from the company on how to do that.... I'm going with a different company

one more thing... just to prove that I am not the problem.... here is a screen shot - if nothing else this should say something.  I think IPB is a good company but perhaps we have outgrown each other

Loads of their links to documentation is faulty, hence the boo boo. They also seem to have some hosting issues, sometimes resulting in 20second pageloads and even timeout. Mostly works, but unclear what causes this.  Do note however though that these issues only happen on this site, not on my forums or anything.
