Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Yesterday at 02:04 PM
Matthew Fay Posted April 20, 2015 Posted April 20, 2015 I gather this is the correct section to post in -> All the images are missing on my website and it appears distorted.- I initially went to 'Designer mode' in 'Themes' in the ACP- After that I reloaded the website because it was taking too long and my website isn't loading properly I have images below...http://s15.postimg.org/hhnlwu9zu/Image1.jpg [Admin control panel]http://s15.postimg.org/5r9ofgh7e/Image2.jpg [Front page]If I can even reset the website because I just started making it that would be even better. I just don't know what to do at this point.
The Jimmo Posted April 20, 2015 Posted April 20, 2015 You turned on 'Designer's mode', correct?Did you touch any of the storage settings?
DesignzShop Posted April 20, 2015 Posted April 20, 2015 Submit a ticket so IPB is aware of this designer mode issue and can help you, you are not the only posting they have a issue with it so maybe it's something they can help you with
Matthew Fay Posted April 21, 2015 Author Posted April 21, 2015 I ran into an even worse issue before, the ACP wouldn't load because I misplaced the directory. I fixed that in the config file on the website (i'm not a programmer). The website now loads with some degree of hierarchy but I still don't have a theme. I'll hopefully fix the theme through the Designer mode if I somehow touched a storage settings.
Matthew Fay Posted April 21, 2015 Author Posted April 21, 2015 I have disabled 'Designer mode' next up entering the web directory manually to find the problem in the documents if any. Take note I have no idea what I'm doing. Edit: I have not successfully found a way to fix the css or any of the website images Here is a current image of what I have as a website http://s14.postimg.org/krh3psbwg/website2.jpg I'm not sure if this has anything to do with what we're talking about. Because I can't see the CSS everything is so distorted but I have found 'Data Storage' in 'Advanced Configuration' where the listed 'Data Storage Method Required' is set to 'File System' and not 'MySQL Database', just poking around I tried to set he 'Data Storage' settings to 'MySQL Database' and nothing has changed and it wouldn't let me change it. Below in 'Caching Method Required' this option is checked: '-No caching-' . I cannot change the options here because it's preventing me and the options are greyed out. I've spent all day trying to fix this, I don't see how my entire website can just disable the CSS by me entering Designer Mode and then cancelling out of it mid way and then everything disappears every time I visit the website. Unless I miraculously checked some option without even saving... I don't understand what exactly is going on.
