No qoute for selected text in 4.0

I'm quite surprised it's still not an out of the box feature in IPB.

Maybe I'm missing somethig, but it provides so great expirience for a user to qoute just selected text, when they want to reply on a specific statement in your message or to reply on different parts of a post separatelly. I have such mode in 2.x and it hard to believe nobody asking to add this feature to be a standard.

Maybe I'm missing something how to utilize 3.x or 4.0 with no mods to qoute small part of a message or to qoute different parts of the message separatelly, so then correct me.

On the IPS4 Preview Site they said this will be implemented in a future version.

I am also a huge fan of this feature. Most users tend to quote too much text anyway, but with Selected Text Quoting the madness can be reduced at least a little.

I agree. Currently I'm using the "selective quoting mod" with 3.4.7 that does selective quoting but the mod doesn't seem to be available any more.

​I tried this mod for 3.4.6. The issue with that is that for every click to qoute it moves the focus to the editor and scroll the page down, so it desn't make a lot of sense and is not user friendly.
