Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
B-Jiggy Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 I wanted to try out MaxCDN to se what results I can get with their CDN service. Is there an up-to-date directions for installing MaxCdn on 3.4.5
B-Jiggy Posted June 22, 2013 Author Posted June 22, 2013 After testing it appears IPS's Cdn is faster than MaxCdn
vpsBoard Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 After testing it appears IPS's Cdn is faster than MaxCdn Where can the benchmarks be found? I'm genuinely curious too. Right now I may paying for CloudFlare Pro, as the server is located in a geographic area that isn't ideal for serving content to the visitor base, however the server includes affordable DDoS protection so I keep it in that location (Get days of HTTP floods and other nastiness). My concern is soley keeping the community not only up at all times, but also ensuring that the content is delivered to our friends overseas as quickly as possible. The load times for me are great, but those in Europe and other places have complained from time to time about speeds.
B-Jiggy Posted June 22, 2013 Author Posted June 22, 2013 Most Cdn providers allow to run trial account to test their services. Too much marketing spin to know which Cdn is best until you test them. I will likey use MaxCdn for my Wordpress homepage since it better optimized for Wordpress. I found it struggled with sheer number PHP request from the IPS suite.
Ae9803 Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 I always seem to struggle with rather or not using a CDN.
PaytonKeathley Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Everytime I activate the IPS CDN it messes up my theme ... Would anyone be willing to skype with me and help me set everything up correctly? I'm seriously clueless no matter how much I read how.. Skype: Helix.Seven
