Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
Neil2 Posted March 10, 2013 Posted March 10, 2013 Members that have it installed can you tell it has helped your community?? Reason I am asking, seems like the first few days after install the cpu usage dropped pretty good and was running around normal, but now it is right back up there way high and spiking higher. The old software I have never seen CPU usage this high before, so I am just wondering what is the best to help bring it down to more pleasing level. Oh and this is all it says: /usr/sbin/mysqld --basedir=/ --datadir=/var/lib/mysql --user=mysql --log-error=/var/lib/mysql/server.<snip>.com.err --pid-file=/var/lib/mysql/server.<snip>.com.pid
Grumpy Posted March 10, 2013 Posted March 10, 2013 Your question seems rather fragments of bits and pieces. A sphinx search will aid you if you have a large search traffic volume as well as general decrease in mysql usage. However, if you are seeing a sharp difference in behavior compared to before without a sharp increase in real traffic, it's an issue you should diagnose and resolve, not throw potential solutions and hope they're the right one. You can start by looking at the pinned thread. Posting much information as possible is best.
