Square thumbnails of photo attachments

I think it would be a great improvement for our site if the image thumbnails attached to posts were square, instead of following the original image proportion, it would make the posts with various photo attachment look much neater.

Wouldn't work nicely if they have large thumbnails.

You can "add to post" to keep them the same size I think? Instead of just leaving them attached and not linked in the post.
