silberfuchs
I would like to ask for the possibility to configure the logo which will be sent out to Google+ like it is implemented for Facebook. It should not be automatically transferred the real page logo. It could be the same logo file like I configured for Facebook in the backend. Thanks for your support! bfarber
Google+ utilizes the open graph meta tags if present, and they are (for Facebook). We are also looking into their schema.org support as well.
silberfuchs
Sorry maybe it's depending on my English - could you explain that a little more in detail for me? Could there be a solution in the future?
bfarber
(1) There is already a solution in place. Google+ uses the value of the og:image meta tag, which is currently ACP configurable (under the Facebook section where you specify the image to use for Facebook). This has been further improved in 3.3 already. (2) Google *also* supports (and prefers) microdata HTML attributes, which we are investigating. If none of that made sense, just know that IPB can already handle setting the image for Google+ fine, and we are looking into ways to improve it further.
