Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt November 11, 2024
Midnight Modding Posted August 21, 2011 Posted August 21, 2011 I know the "my content" area is apparently using caches or tables updated periodically with a task, but I think the need for that is outweighed by the fact that it's much easier to overlook replies now. I'll look at that to see which of my topics have new replies and sicne it's not up to date... another one may show as having replies and end up where when there is an update it may have some newer ones above it with no responses. I'm probably not wording this very well. Basically if you click on topics with unread status all in a row, you will later see a lot of totally read oens on top and assume ALL are totally read, whereas down below them there can be one with unread which snuck in there during an update.
Midnight Modding Posted August 21, 2011 Author Posted August 21, 2011 Srr. After this length of time this very topic is still not listed in my content. lol edit: If I click only topics it is, iff I keep it on both, it's not.
Martin A. Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 Think this is specific to this board only, as they are using Sphinx here. The cronjob for refreshing the topics/post data needs to run before it appears, and that runs once or twice a day.
Midnight Modding Posted August 22, 2011 Author Posted August 22, 2011 Blah, I should have thought about that. I forget that sometimes this site does things differently than I do.
