Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt November 11, 2024
Arnie Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 In the spirit of a topic I saw about topic cloning. I'm fed up of having to go through a big list of permissions every time I want to add a sub-forum moderator. It'd help a lot if we could set default permission sets for moderators. This would sooooo save having to click 30 odd buttons to do what's a pretty simple task.
Adriano Faria Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 Just go to a forum permission where the moderator is configured and hold control and choose a new forum. Now you got the same moderator in both forums with same permission.
Arnie Posted August 18, 2011 Author Posted August 18, 2011 Ah yes quite handy, but we add different moderators when we hand out a new team or site forum to different individuals.
PSNation Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 The thing that really pushes my buttons is not being able to clone ACP permissions? If I don't want them access to one area I need to click about 200 boxes just to achieve this and leave about 10 empty. Very Annoying

HecKel Posted May 13, 2012 Posted May 13, 2012 Hi! Our community just moved to IPB, and since it is already quite big with a quite big staff, changing individually each moderator permission is a pain! Since this topic is already almost one year old, is there already any feature to make this task easier? Or do I really have to change each moderator's permission individually? Thanks!
