Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt November 11, 2024
Axel Wers Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 We have tool in ACP which allow remove orphaned attachments and/or images. I remember that sometimes long time ago was there bug which accidentally removed ALL attachments. Although bug was fixed I am worrying about this. So I think would be better, when that tool won't remove orphaned attachments automatically but after scanning we get list of orphaned attachments with checkbox: Are you sure to remove these attachments?
AndyF Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 If I recall correctly, I think the bug was it would remove all attachments that were made prior to them being put into monthly directories, if I'm not mistaken. As versions prior to 2.2.x (I cannot remember exactly which version the monthlies appeared) all attachments were just lumped into the /uploads directory.
Axel Wers Posted April 17, 2011 Author Posted April 17, 2011 I don't remember what a kind of bug it was. Long time ago all uploads were added to /upload directory. Then to own directories (names based on year and month of uploading). Then again to /upload directory. And now uploads are added again to own directories. Currently system is OK, it's not good when all uploads are added to one directory. It's there chaos then.
