Need help getting CycleChat up to speed

A further discovery this evening. I happened to check my apache2 error logs and found lots of mod_fcgid errors for /home/cyclechat/public_html/index.php ... exit ... return code: 255

This is apparently related to permissions and has meant that the page hasn't been processed properly. I chmod 0755 index.php to make it executable, and the speed increase has been quite dramatic.

Very fast now, very happy admin now!!!!

Just thought I'd mention it in case anyone else has a similar issue.

Cheers,
Shaun :D

I've been looking at speeding up my site, the images in the shoutbox make the forum basically load at half the speed, around 2500ms for the forums and around 2500ms extra for the images etc from the shoutbox. Why does the shoutbox load emotions etc on every load, shouldn't they just load when someone has posted one or you click the emotions button ?

1. Why are there two images which both have the same fuction in the shoutbox.
2. Why do the emotions all load.
3. Is it essential to have mod buttons on the shoutbox when the only one that works on the index is the single shout editor, imo doesn't make modding it much faster/better.
