Rheddy Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 Thanks, Fisana. Worked great. As usual, great free skins. Thanks for posting this one.
hammerstringz Posted September 5, 2011 Posted September 5, 2011 I just got the Sept. 1 release and I'm on the 3.2.2 IP board version. I used easy logo under look & feel and it shifted all of my menu items kind of weird. My 'view new content' tab and such kind of switched from right to center and my normal tab links stacked on top of each other on the left. How would I push the logo down from the top just a bit? The new one I just put up (not in the pic) seems too high up. Also, how would I change out the background the logo & search bar sits on? That striped dark blue long part if I ever changed it? Don't let these questions fool anyone... I love this skin!!! :smile:
hammerstringz Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 I don't know if this is related to the navigation wrapping.. but when I click "Change Theme" it brings me to the top of the page instead of giving me the menu selection. Also, as seen in the attachment below, the Moderation links come up automatically without me pushing the Topic Moderation button.
hammerstringz Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 I figured it out about the menu meshing, the logo can't be bigger than 484x100.. but I seemed to have lost the "More" button even after I fixed it. Still having the other probs as mentioned above, so it wasn't the Menu problem at the top with the "Change Theme" link and such.
Rheddy Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 Fisana, there seems to be a major problem with your skin. When viewing the forums, the skin is aligned perfectly. However, if you have IP.Content installed, the footer section is misaligned. Here's a screenshot of the problem. None of the images are properly aligned and this only happens when you're using IP.Content. While it doesn't affect the skin for the forums, it is affecting the footer section for IP.Content. Do you have a fix for this?
Rheddy Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 Then you must have your own installation loaded but I'm referring to my installation of your skin: http://goddess-proje...ex.php?app=ccs. When I load Elegant Blue, and I have your most recent version installed, it's misaligned. Something is wrong with the code because the same glitch appears in the latest versions of Firefox, Chrome, Internet Explorer and Opera. All four web browsers are displaying the same glitch. It doesn't appear to be affecting my actual ip.Content Pages or Articles, it just affects the default IP.Content page where the articles are displayed on the main index page for IP.Content. Fisana, I'm not trying to be a pain, I'm just reporting a flaw in the code. While it works fine on a test site I have installed, it doesn't work right with the Elegant Blue skin and no edits have been made to your skin.
IPBSkins Posted September 8, 2011 Author Posted September 8, 2011 But I really do not understand the problem. I have no problems at home. I have no time now to support a test forum on the internet. You see, free skins I do in my spare time.
IPBSkins Posted September 8, 2011 Author Posted September 8, 2011 And I think the error is within the articles or blocks in your ip.content Look for unnecessary </div>
hammerstringz Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 I tried re-uploading the skin again, so far the "Change Theme" area is working fine again.
hammerstringz Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 I may have accidentally somehow changed the text color to white trying to figure out how to get the main background from #f4f4f4 to #fffffff but on sign in area and such, the font is white now and can't easily be read.. where do I change this font setting? I still don't know how to get the area bg color from #f4f4f4 to #fffffff either. See attached...
hammerstringz Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 What really doesn't make sense is how it seems to have corrected itself. If I was able to delete my posts, I would have deleted the above. I'm just sitting here confused about the system more than the skin. *scratches head*
Rheddy Posted September 10, 2011 Posted September 10, 2011 Fisana, I found the error. The only other problem I've discovered is a pesky scrollbar that seems to be attached to the board index for Delicate Blue. Does anyone know how to remove that because it doesn't appear on any other page.
Rheddy Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 Fisana, there is a problem with your skin. While you've told me there isn't, your skin code is interfering with the Shoutbox Global feature. When Shoutbox Global is enabled, and I've disabled all of my hooks and mods and nailed it down to the Shoutbox Global hook, that something in your skin code for both Delicate skins, creates a scrolling toolbar at the bottom of the board index. Could you check this out and offer a patch? Thanks. I asked Michael about this and he said there's nothing wrong with the Shoutbox as it's designed for the default IP.Board skin and that he doesn't support third party mods, skins or hooks.
IPBSkins Posted September 18, 2011 Author Posted September 18, 2011 But I do not use IP.Shoutbox and do not intend to install it. My free skins are working with those applications that are in the description: IP.Downloads, IP.Gallery, IP.Blog, IP.Content, IP.Tracker.

The problem from Michael Copyright skin_shoutbox > shoutbox Add to the end</div>
Rheddy Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 Sorry about that, Fisana. Thanks for the update. It didn't work but it was worth a shot.
Cheshire Cat Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 Is there a way to purchase skin copyright removal or is it there by default?
Rheddy Posted October 11, 2011 Posted October 11, 2011 There is a way to remove it, but I wouldn't recommend it as developers tend to have a very nasty reaction to that sort of thing. They'd rather you pay them for the right to remove that. I think it's nothing more but to freely advertise their website on your site. I could never understand paying more than the skin is worth just to remove the copyright footer. At any rate, it doesn't bother me too much as long as the copyright indicia isn't too gaudy or too large. Copyright text has never bothered me as it's unobtrusive.
mmetev Posted November 16, 2011 Posted November 16, 2011 Dear Fisana, Thank you for the lovely skin. I have a problem when creating a new topic. The sidebar with the options goes beyond the board edge and looks kind of odd: Is there a way to fix this?
IPBSkins Posted November 19, 2011 Author Posted November 19, 2011 Thank you. Open ipb_styles.css Find .ipsPostForm .ipsLayout_right { width: 250px; margin-right: -251px; border-left: 0; z-index: 800; } Replace width .ipsPostForm .ipsLayout_right { width: 220px; margin-right: -221px; border-left: 0; z-index: 800; }
mmetev Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 Thank you Fisana. With me the correct values are width: 208px;margin-right: -211px;
