Teddy Rogers Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 Have a look at the image below: As you can see it says there are 4 new entries. Is it possible to have it expanded so it informs the user there are x number of new entries in which field rather than having to individually click on the tabs to find out there is a new item? Even having a little icon/mark on each tab to identify that it has new content there would be really handy. I also noticed under the Members tab after clicking (Mark all items as read) does not mark all new members as having been read. Is this a bug or meant to be as it is now? Ted.

Unfortunately it's not realistic to do what you are suggesting. It would be nice, yes, but it would mean running the search query for every single application installed (each tab), as opposed to just the tab you are viewing. Running a search for every application installed like that would be a resource nightmare.... As for your other question, yes. We don't use read/unread markers for members (there's no point) so the members tab shows you everything since your last visit, not every member you haven't actually viewed. Even if you mark the board as read, your last visit timestamp doesn't change.
Teddy Rogers Posted July 21, 2009 Author Posted July 21, 2009 Okay, thanks for clarifying Brandon even if its not a feasible option. Still would be nice though if there was some way around it without driving system resources through the roof... Ted.
