RobertMidd Posted October 29, 2008 Posted October 29, 2008 It is already a feature that will make IPB 3.0http://forums.invisionpower.com/index.php?...t&p=1752972
BryanH Posted October 29, 2008 Posted October 29, 2008 1. click "new post" 2. type text 3. choose photos from member's own IP.gallery with easy browsing(such as a pop up screen) system under postnig screen 4. drag-and-drop selected photos on right place I'd love to see this!
bfarber Posted October 29, 2008 Posted October 29, 2008 No, no, no - you are apparently misreading the link you linked to. We've added a "multi-upload" feature to IPB3. That is, you can select more than one file when uploading (it uses a flash plugin, the same one wordpress uses for instance, to actually handle the uploads). That is not the same as what the author is requesting.
BryanH Posted October 29, 2008 Posted October 29, 2008 You talking to me? Yeah, I know you added the multi-upload tool. I was just saying it'd be nice to attach images from our IP.Gallery in the future.
bfarber Posted October 29, 2008 Posted October 29, 2008 No, I was talking to RobertMidd. :) It is already a feature that will make IPB 3.0
ikillbill Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 I meant attach from gallery too, so members browse photos on a new/pop up windows and click/select and photos goes to post automatically :)

That is, you can select more than one file when uploading (it uses a flash plugin, the same one wordpress uses for instance, to actually handle the uploads). That is not the same as what the author is requesting. I was in fact referring to the first section of his post in which he wants multi-uploads from his PC when posting and not the 'or' part where he refers to the gallery.1. click "new post" 2. type text 3. find multi photoS from local PC, click upload 4. choose where that photo goes by using mouse, drag-and-drop is the bestBetter uploading tools In the past we've had numerous calls for TRUE multiple attachments. You'll be pleased to know that we've fully integrated SWFUpload into IPB3 for webservers that support it (which should be most). For those unfamiliar with this tool, it allows users to select multiple files in the Open dialog, and javascript then manages the upload queue for you. Another cool improvement is we now support upload progressbars with no additional server requirements! In addition, if you upload images, you'll see a thumbnail immediately, making it easy to insert the right image to your post, right where you want it. Is this not the same ?
bfarber Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 Ah, ok, I misunderstood then. See, ikillbill has posted that same request in about 10 topics (and in the blog) yesterday, sometimes with both of those statements and sometimes with only one or the other, so I simply skimmed over his first post lol. I knew the general request already...
