Amy T Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 This is some thing I really really want.I know there is a mod and I am using the mod but that does not help me with other site that I go to.Going to sites that do not have sigs in profiles makes things harder for me and yes this might sound lazy but instead of just going to some ones profile and viewing the sig I have to go to the profile then go to a post hat person had made and it would be much simpler to just go to the profile and view the siggy. It makes things for me very frustrating going to sites that do not have the old profile view or the mod for sigs in the personal profile.Infact if I go to a site that does not have sigs in the profile and it has nothing worth while I will leave as it will just be another frustrating site I have to put up with. In another way of looking at this is it is more work not having it there.

~Dopey~ Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 There should be something available to display the signature, be it via a tab or not.
Will L. Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 +1 there is a mod out there not sure who made it it was on Invisionize but I say this should be a default tab
Jason H Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 I don't know about a tab for it.. But something under the options dropdown.. I'd rather not see it as a tab.. Any of you who have Gallery, Blog, IDM and various other components installed realize the tabs can quickly grow large.. Having 40 tabs across the screen isn't really fun. But.. If it were something under the options dropdown? It's available for users who want it, and out of the way for users that don't?

Amy T Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 So how would it be under the options would it be like a small ajax window that opens up with it when you run your mouse over it as that would be neat.
Jason H Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 I wasn't taking it that far.. Whether it's an ajax popup window, or browser popup, or some third, fourth or fifth option.. No matter to me.. I'm just throwing ideas for staying away from a tab.. Putting it under Options is a way to satisfy the users who do want it, while not penalizing the users who don't.. Additionally.. You have to rememebr that it's easy to say "Well, put an on/off option in for the users who may not want it"... Do you know how many options there already are? Can anyone tell me if you run a search and it only returns 5 characters of the post where that setting is? without looking? There's not one of you who honestly can say they weren't looking for a setting at some point and sat there going "Where in the blue hell is that? I *KNOW* i've seen it before... Nope.. Not there.. Maybe here.. Nope.."And you have to admit.. There are some users who just get too damn carried away with sigs. They post a message that is "Yes" and then you have to scroll down 5 pages to get through their entire "Look at me! Look how k00l I am!" freaking sig pics. But.. I digress. I still love the old "Show Sigs once per page" mod..Of course.. That being said.. Tabs are easy enough to remove. But easy for me, and easy for someone else may be two different things.
Amy T Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 I still love the old "Show Sigs once per page" mod..ya but with the new set up that no longer works as it makes sigs harder to find. I do remember using that mod of dean's though.I do not think he makes it any more but i could be wrong. But ya i liked that feature and to me it does make more since the sigs be in the profile and not in the post mainly because of what you mentioned.
