Is it possible to edit subject line during edit?

I used this forum software for the first time, today. I did not see an error in my preview, so I posted. Then I saw error in subject line. Tried to edit post (full edit) however that did not allow this... I could not edit the subject line. Why do you not allow the subject line to be edited, if User requested the ability to edit the post?

I believe it's configured so that only admin type peeps can modify a topic title...

I'm sure there is a modification around to change this so that a user can change/modify the title.
