W13 Posted July 25, 2007 Posted July 25, 2007 Here's a suggestion:All outbound links get a rel="nofollow" attached in the <a href> tag.(Too many people are joining for the sole purpose of link-building, etc.)
Watty Posted July 25, 2007 Posted July 25, 2007 I can certainly see your point - but what about those folks who are active members of the community... should they be penalized as well? 75% of my meager traffic is indexed by Google through the forums here. Where would your site be without link building?
Nils Posted July 25, 2007 Posted July 25, 2007 See here: http://forums.invisionpower.com/index.php?showtopic=235050As I said there, I'm for adding such a feature, but allowing people to disable it in case they want to keep the normal links.
Strange_Will Posted July 25, 2007 Posted July 25, 2007 Alas, there goes me getting any credit when people link to my stuff from forums. I should get extra page ranking if IPB users are linking to my stuff damnit >=(Can I use a .htaccess file or something to block NoFollow users? ;)
bfarber Posted July 25, 2007 Posted July 25, 2007 This has already been suggested (probably a dozen times).
