Emoticon Order

The emoticons in the side panel and in the emoticon window don't appear to be ordered at all. This makes it impossible to show, for example, the most important emoticons like :) and :( before the others. Could you add an option to order them or at least order them alphabetically by default?

We've been asking for this forever and have either been ignored or it isn't possible, by guess would be the former.

I guess they consider turning the forum into a MySpace clone was more important.

The "MySpace" type profile can be turned off... in any case, IPS is just capitalizing on some features that are very popular. Have a look at the vBulletin plug-in called Zoints. With IPB, there is no need for such a program.

'Friends' can't be turned off.

It shouldn't be too hard to add a 'ORDER BY filename' statement to the SQL query... I'd do it myself but I'd hate to have yet another mod I have to redo for each new version.

It's definitely possible to do this, I have a custom modification on my site that does this. It's just a question of IPS adding the feature to the software. I think it should be a standard part of the software too. :)

Emoticon manager needs a lot of work, talk about having to delete emoticons one by one.. :whistle:
