As you can see, quite clearly this is a very diverse difference of opinion on this subject. I can say, for now, that the RTE won't be added to the fast reply for 2.2 :)

If you want to use the RTE, click "Add Reply" and use it there. There is NO way it should be added to the fast reply box, the whole point of the fast reply is to enable users to reply faster - in such a case the RTE's options should not be necessary. If you want to use an RTE, chances are you're going to spend a certain amount of time on your post - negating the point of the fast reply feature.

The problem is people are just too damn lazy to click an extra button, and want everything on the same page.

Try doing a hard refresh (Ctrl + F5). If you mean in your copy of Beta 2, I think it's because they were added later.

Well how about this possibility? You have a global switch to choose whether the Fast Reply can only be Standard, WYSIWYG, or both. If you have select "Both" then you let the user decide which one they prefer.
