TestingSomething Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 I see no instructions for anything other than board, but blog and gallery don't seem to be encoded, so I am just assuming we can upload those in automatic, then upload the board in binary. And I will just assume on where to point the browser for blog and gallery, based on logic, but there were no instructions with the downloads for people who don't know where.

TestingSomething Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 Well every file I look at is unencoded for me. So hope I didnt mess up by uploading in automatic.
TestingSomething Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 Now I do see SOME encoded ones. I am confused now because some are NOT encoded, and I dont think those should be uploaded in binary, should they?
Mark Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 Some IPB files are unencoded too. Upload it as you did with that
TestingSomething Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 Hopefully someone will answer this, as I am almost done uploading the IPB files in binary (after deleting all of the blog and gallery ones) and I simply need to know whether to use automatic or binary. A lot of times automatic does not work for zend files, but then again I am unsure if binary is correct for UNencoded files. Blog and gallery have a lot of unencoded files with them.
TestingSomething Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 ok Professor P, I will just have to assume that is correct. Although when I used BETA1 there was some weird JS error on every page so I wonder if thatw as from uploading in binary too. (maybe some files werent supposed to be)
Mark Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 I personally would use binary, though I have only tested locally

(maybe some files werent supposed to be)I did get the JS errors on every page too IE7, but not anymore(on here) and i uploaded as auto on my site (and yes some files are encoded and some are not)
