Lot of problems in 2.2

I installed 2.2 beta and experienced lot of problems, like:

1. It is too slow.

2. Statistics are not showing

3. When I click on the forum, the topics are not appearing! even thought it has topics. When I post new topic, following error occurs

IPB WARNING [2] Division by zero (Line: 3874 of /sources/ipsclass.php)


4. Why there is email validation? not username?

Please some one help me with 2 and 3. Thanks

Well it's Beta for a reason. The best option is to just fresh install.

Beta 1 installed ok first time and works fine on my test board and I do not get any of these errors.

I suspect it has not be been installed/configured correctly so try again with the install.

well, i am totally shocked to use this version. I mean the registration is not working. The username field is not there!!

I am sure I messed up with something and it is not the script problem.

Now I am trying to install it again. And BTW I offcourse installed it fresh.

trust me for some of us it's not even getting past the 5th install screen :)

With beta tests the software works on some setups and not on others, which is important part of the testing process.

If you're unable to get it to work on your server then the best bet is to submit the bug reports and wait for the next release which will hopefully fix your problems.

Indeed! If something's not working for you and nobody has submitted a bug report about it, submit one! Otherwise the issue won't get fixed.

I reinstalled it. It installed fine. But at board index, it gives the following error. I upload the files in Binary mode.

Fatal error: Class 'ipsclass' not found in .../ipb/index.php on line 80

Er, do you have ipsclass.php uploaded to sources? :huh: If so, try to reupload it (in binary mode).

Ok. Now I am trying ioncube version. Please tell me whether I upload files in binary mode or auto? and any other advise, Thanks

Personally, I always use auto and don't have problems, but for encoded scripts you want to upload in binary mode.

I am interested in division by 0 error.

I had this when my forum got hacked and when no one on any of the
invision friendly site like ize etc could help me on this I had to resort to 4 month old
database restore and all was fine.

What is your php and mysql version?

If I am not mistaken I was told some where that I had lost my
cache, n nothing could be done.
