Module Integration Search

I can see that your really trying to integrate the modules more tightly with IPB now, but the search is still lacking in this respect. It would be nice (ACP settable) that the search page, or a seperate specific search page could detect which modules were installed, and would search those too. A bonus would be to allow each mod to have a file that defines the MySQL table of its searchable records, fields which can be searched (e.g. name / title, comments, entry / description) and how to display the output - this way a gallery image would also have a small thumbnail, a download would have a download link, a module made by a third party could have something else apropriate for them.

I know its not really likely to go into 2.2, but please think about it for a point release, or for version three!

Yes. Another area that needs opening up for components to add functionality - the search system. I hereby give you a plus one!
