Navy Posted June 20, 2006 Posted June 20, 2006 Hey, maybe I can get some help in here... I got a yearly license for IPB, but I missed to renew it due to some stays in the hospital... Ok, today I said to me: Buy a new license, so I done it!!! The problem is now, that I have an expired license and a new one in my account. If I try to get to IPB Beyond, the system always told me, that it seems, that I have no registered license for this product... But I have!!! Maybe anyone can help me.... Cause I would get in there, seems to be a nice resource.... Thank you in advance!!! :charles:
Alex Duggan Posted June 20, 2006 Posted June 20, 2006 Either e-mail billing [at] invisionpower.com or submit a ticket from the client area to the billing/sales teams and we'll be able to look into it for you :)
InvisionCube Posted June 20, 2006 Posted June 20, 2006 Despite my past berating of some IPS policies, I see all of this as a step in the right direction for IPS. Supporting 1.3? Come on, let's be serious now. I don't know of a single company that has a policy of supporting age-old applications indefinately. IPSBeyond: Can't say that I use it that much (In fact, I think I can count the number of times on one hand.) Mainly because, despite reading, I've never actually had it made clear to me what it is, what its purpose is, and why I would want to use it. However, if it means that the official IPS forums are kept free of mindless drivvle and non-company chatter then I'm all for it.
Guest Posted June 20, 2006 Posted June 20, 2006 the main purpose of ipsbeyond is customer to customer support and invision downloads as far as I understood it, a 2nd invisionize in other words (much smaller at the moment though), but then for customers only...
athlonkmf Posted June 23, 2006 Posted June 23, 2006 great. Can't login to ipsbeyond anymore. And the password reset thingie there does not work either. no email received after half an hour. This is quite annoying though. Whatever happened to converge? Now I have to have 1 password for this forum, 1 for the client center and another for ipsbeyond?
bfarber Posted June 23, 2006 Posted June 23, 2006 There's no reason you shouldn't be able to login to IPS Beyond (uses your client area password initially), and there's no reason you shouldn't be able to reset your password either. At some point, we *will* be moving some of our company websites over to Converge, however please understand it's still being beta tested. ;) eta if you need me to reset your password for IPS Beyond, submit a ticket and I'd be happy to do so (security purposes)
athlonkmf Posted June 23, 2006 Posted June 23, 2006 well, the problem probably is that I forgot my client panel's password and had resetted it to get the sec. update last night. If IPSB is not using the main passwordtable from the clientcenter (replicated or viewed directly), then it could be that I had to login with my OLD clientpanel's password, which is of course reset, etc, etc. And it's clearly so that the IPS-beyond DB is not in sync with the clientcenter's DB. because my old session at my laptop's is still working meaning that the password hash is still the old one.... I could change the password hash of this computer... but nah... that'd too hacky... I also tried the "lost password"-form at ipsbeyond, but that isn't sending me any mails.
bfarber Posted June 23, 2006 Posted June 23, 2006 If you wish to submit a ticket, as I said, I'd be happy to reset your password. I need it to go through the client area for security purposes however. And yes, the client area and IPS Beyond are two completely separate websites - the only synchronization done is for permissions. Usernames and passwords are managed separately after initial sign up.
athlonkmf Posted June 23, 2006 Posted June 23, 2006 No need anymore. I just received the password reset email (needed an hour or so to reach me..) and had just reset my password. Thanks anyway (PS> I think there's something wrong with your CSS files here  )
