jucs Posted November 18, 2005 Posted November 18, 2005 I would like know when 2.1.4 is due out approximately. Is it a month? A week? 6 months? I am waiting for the software to get more stable before upgrading. I don't need an exact date. Just a general time frame. I've been around long enough that exact dates can't be given. But, if it's going to be 3-6 months, I will upgrade now. If it's going to be a month or so, I'll probably wait. Thanks.
.John. Posted November 18, 2005 Posted November 18, 2005 2.1.1 was stable, and we're on 2.1.3 :) Anyway, I anticipate 2.1.4 coming out next week - if not, the week after.
ZainZ Posted November 18, 2005 Posted November 18, 2005 The current versions are stable enough for use in production environment :D
FCB-Mo Posted November 18, 2005 Posted November 18, 2005 we are flying through the updates! v1 have 3 updates and v2.0 had 4 now it seems v2.1 is gonna break the record by a mile! well done for all the good work!
jucs Posted November 24, 2005 Posted November 24, 2005 I should have clarified. If one has hacks, it's a pain to re-install them every few weeks. :)
Skatedawg Posted November 24, 2005 Posted November 24, 2005 Whoa that is kool, feels like i just updated to 2.1.3 and now we are going to 2.1.4! That is amazing. Looking forward to getting my hands of this.
EvilAkuma Posted November 24, 2005 Posted November 24, 2005 I heard that they found some bugs on this version. I give it couple of days/week before 2.1.4 is release

If one has hacks, it's a pain to re-install them every few weeks. :) Actually I find it's somewhat easier and less time consuming when IPS releases a changed file listing from the last version. That way you can go through your mods and see which files need to re-edited, if any, to ensure your mods still work. Otherwise if you just upload and overwrite all the files with the new ones you will end up doing a LOT more work to get your mods working again.

Probably the best thing to do is to run a program like diff to compare the old file with the new file.
