robirming
I'm hoping to see the possibility to unsubscribe within topics. Making the 'Track this topic' a 'Unsubscribe' link if you're already subsribing to the topic you're reading. I think it's strange this isn't included already. Maybe there's some performance reason to it that I'm not aware of?
Brian Garcia
Go to My Controls, then look for the category Subscriptions and click View Topics. Check the box listed next to the topic that you want to unsubscribe for and click with selected.
robirming
Yes, of course. What I'm asking is a way to unsubscribe inside topics, as an extra option to the My Controls detour. The My Controls thing is good and needed of course, but often you realize when reading a topic that the reason you subscribed to it has been fulfilled and you no longer need to subscribe. It would be a lot easier if you then just could click 'Unsubscribe' in that topic instead of having to go through all the clicking via My Controls. Smoothie
I asked for this many moons ago. No one seemed to care.
Oncle Tom
it would be good because going to "My control" each time is not easy and intuitive at all. However an unsubsribe link into the notification mail should be good too !
Oncle Tom
*up* It has been done on phpBB and it's much more user friendly for someone wanting to unsubscribe. ;)
damien245uk
I'd just like to add my support for this much needed feature too. As an admin, last thing you want is to be sending out lots of unwanted emails - it'll put people off wanting to subscribe to a topic probably - worse though is you're using resources to send those emails which is a waste if they're not wanted. robirming
With the topic ratings now added, the Unsubcribe within topics is just about the only feature that I really miss in IPB. Still keeping my fingers crossed for this to be added... :)
Shyatic
I agree -- I think this is an important one to use. Even putting a little icon next to the topic to show it's tracked would be great.
