Subscriber inactive and no longer a member after purchasing membership twice and getting refunded
So a member/customer decided to purchase a membership after the membership had been automatically renewed. We refunded the last "renewal", but then the system changed his status to be a non-member, and "inactive". He still has a valid paid subscription, but there is no obvious way to tell the system that this is a normal active user that should be considered a full member. We're also not sure if the membership will get renewed next year. We have manually moved him to be a member. How do we fix this so that he appears as a normal paid member even after a refund? I'd also like to add that we find the whole paid membership part of Invision Community very lacking, for example there is no way to control when a membership expires other than preset "one year from purchase" etc. And no tools to manage issues like these. We hope this is on the roadmap! -Fredrik

Purchases are approved, but invoice is stuck on pending, waiting for payment.
Hi, I spoke with the developer, and the plugin we use does not affect invoices at all, so the plugin isn't the culprit. Also, the last successful transaction was 12/30/22, the plugin was installed quite some time prior to this. I just checked, and the invoices are still stuck on "pending". I've included some screenshots. Do you need any additional information? Any idea what can be causing this? -Fredrik

Purchases are approved, but invoice is stuck on pending, waiting for payment.
Hi, We just noticed that something is wrong with the payment of subscriptions. We have two new subscribers, and everything looks fine in the Transactions log, the status is Approved. However, in the Invoices log, both purchases are still in a pending state. We're running on the latest version of Invision, and have relatively recently upgraded to PHP 8.1. We're using Stripe. Any idea what's causing this? Logs in Stripe look fine. -Fredrik

Issue with some members having two active purchases
The issue with the plugin has been fixed, but not the changes made to the purchases for the affected customers. This didn't happen to all the customers, just 42 of them.

Issue with some members having two active purchases
The plugin changed/set the expiration date for all purchases, but it had a "bug" so it changed the expiration date for already expired purchases as well. So you can see on the bottom picture that the purchase is expired, but active with an expiration date in the future. Basically what I want to do is change the bottom one back to being inactive without affecting the top one. I can take a server snapshot and try and fail, but I would prefer not to, and rather do it correctly the first time 🙂 If I click Edit on the purchase that shouldn't be active and change the expiration date there to something in the past, will that just affect that one purchase? If yes, then that would be the solution. Like I said, I just want to avoid breaking anything 🙂 Thanks!

Issue with some members having two active purchases
Hi, After what I believe was caused by issues with a plugin that has since been removed, some members have two active purchases where one is actually expired, but with an expiration date set in the future. I've attached a couple of screenshots to show what I mean. The first screenshot shows the active purchases, the second shows the details of the first purchase (which is correct and should remain active), and the third shows an expired purchase which for some reason shows up as active. My question is simply: how can I make the initially expired purchase inactive without breaking anything or canceling the member's subscription? If I edit the purchase and set the expiration date to a date in the past, will that make that spesific purchase inactive without breaking the main subscription plan or anything else? I haven't messed around with this before, so I'd rather ask than try and fail 🙂 Thanks!

[PAID] Subscription expiration plugin
Hi! Someone has accepted this assignment. Thank you!

[PAID] Subscription expiration plugin
We need a plugin that basically has two functions: 1. The ability to set a custom expiration date for a subscription (all new subscribers, and all subscribers that renew their subscription). 2. The ability to set/change the expiration date of all currently active members of a subscription. We are a motorcycle club, and our membership lasts for one season. However, in Invision the subscription lasts for one calendar year, and there is no built-in way to change this. Each spring we have a meeting to decide on the membership cost for that year, so we need a way to set the memberships to end before this meeting, and we need a way to change the expiration date in the case that the meeting gets moved. We had a plugin made by one of the devs in here (not going to name names) but that developer no longer responds to anything for some reason. The plugin is just about done, there are just a few minor bugs that need to be fixed. We'd like to pay for maintenance too, ensuring that the plugin will continue to work for new versions of Invision. Please let me know if further details are needed.

Need help with a few issues
Hi Jim, For 1, what exactly do you want me to update? For 2 & 3 I can switch to the default language pack, and I'll see how that works. I'll update this ticket as soon as I have tested that. -Fredrik

Need help with a few issues
Hi, we've been having some issues with our site for quite some time, and I'd like to have them fixed. 1. This one is very important, and impacting us hard. Whenever a new person subscribes, or an existing member renews their subscription, the subscription should end after one calendar year (we'd like it to end at a set date, but for some odd reason Invision doesn't support that). Ever so often however, the subscription will expire more than one year later. Here are some recent examples: So the question is both why is this happening, and why can't we choose when the subscription should expire? We also need help cleaning this up. This year we also experienced that quite a lot of members didn't get a renewal invoice. So something is wrong somewhere. 2. In cp-admin a lot of the links show up as long URLs rather than a button. Example: I was hoping upgrading would sort this, but it didn't. This makes it hard to know what clicking the link actually does. 3. Quite often on forum posts the posting date (when the post was written) is blank. One example (see "Skrevet" at the top): Let's start with those 3 issues, and we'll proceed with the other less urgent issues later. Best regards Fredrik
