Foster's Tutorials: Recruiting Form
1. Introduction
Application Forms by @Fosters is a powerful and versatile tool that you can use in many ways. In today's tutorial, we're going to create the app to create a "recruiting form" for a position. This can be applied to any of the following scenarios:
Nonprofit / Charity: Apply for an outreach position
Gaming / Fan Groups: Apply for a clansmen or tribal lead
Customer Support: Apply for a brand certification
Employee Intranet: Apply for a project or department role
If you need to manage and invite new members to fill key roles, you can use Application Forms to fill those roles and ensure the best quality of candidates. Set up your own recruiting forms with your own set of questions to be reviewed later by your staff.
In our example, we'll be using a fictional example of applying for the Gryffindor House of Hogwarts. We will walk through the basics of setting up an application, setting up fields, and reviewing permissions.
Hi,
Thank you for your inquiry. The current 'location' filters at the application-level, such as Forums, Gallery, Files, or Commerce. What you suggested is currently not available, but it's a great idea to consider.
Could you review the permissions? Are they set correct for the list? If yes, could I get access FTP access to investigate this or is this happening on the IPS Cloud? If yes, it seems to be only an issue on CIC installations
We will be doing a deep dive into the application this weekend to investigate outstanding issues. Thank you to everyone who has reported a problem so far.
Awesome news!
Our "Inactive Members" is featured on the homepage of the IPS Marketplace! Many thanks to @AndyF of the IPS Marketplace for featuring one of our files. And that means ... this app's price is slashed for a flash sale!!
As a special "thank you" to our clients and in support of the amazing IPS community, we're running a 25% flash sale on the file for a limited time, so pick up a copy! This will be the lowest discount you will ever see, so Buy Now >>
Get your copy in our Flash Sale as a token of our appreciation to the IPS Marketplace!
Now I see what you mean. I've misunderstood your problem. Unfortunately it's not possible what you're trying.
The view permission affects only the Listing on the positions list, not to view the form. Only members with submit permission are allowed to view and submit the form.
All we're doing with this app is to add the tab to the tablist which works with several of our apps and their all compatible with each other.
'selector' => '#tabs_club > ul[role=\'tablist\']',
'type' => 'add_inside_end',
'content' => '<li>
<a href=\'{$club->url()->setQueryString(\'do\',\'sponsors\')}\' class="ipsTabs_item {{if $club->isSponsorTab}}ipsTabs_activeItem{{endif}}" id="club_sponsortab" role="tab">
{lang="club_sponsors"}
</a>
</li>
I'll see what I can do here
This app creates a page with all of your partners and sponsors for your users to browse. The page can have a normal sidebar.
If you need a widget block to appear on certain pages, then I invite you to check out:
