Just today I was approved by Amazon to use SES on my Wordpress/WooCommerce website. I only asked for a 50,000 emails a day limit, which they granted. Far more than what I need. Incredible looking forum. I am also very interested in how you achieved many things about your forum, so whatever you are willing to share would be very helpful. Do you do custom work for people? Sell plugin templates? etc? Your Videos section is using the Videos plugin my Michael J.? I would love to be able to edit my video thumbnails as you did, so there are no blackbars on top and bottom, as well as increase the title length as you did. Thank you.

2FA is disabled. When I do enter the google info in IPS, then back in my Gmail account, I am receiving the following message, "A suspicious app was blocked from accessing your account", when I select "Yes, it was me", I get the following: Less secure app blocked Google blocked the app you were trying to use because it doesn't meet our security standards. Some apps and devices use less secure sign-in technology, which makes your account more vulnerable. You can turn off access for these apps, which we recommend, or turn on access if you want to use them despite the risks. Google will automatically turn this setting OFF if it's not being used. Anyone here successfully configured Google Workspace (GMAIL) SMTP with IPS? I've signed up for it, currently on the 14 day free trial, I've entered my info in the SMTP field on IPS, but I keep getting an error. I entered my full email and password from Google Workspace as my username and password, as suggested, but it's still not working. Can anyone provide any help? Thank you.

I want to encourage members to add a avatar for those that don't have one. So if you're saying we can set it to award points to members that add a avatar (profile photo), add a cover photo, maybe even complete their profile information, this would be incredible!!! What you showed off looks incredible, some powerful stuff. Very exciting. Thanks for posting with the update.

Do you know of a online guide on how to set up Google Workspace correctly? In IPS I selected SMTP, then the following: SMTP Host: smtp-relay.gmail.com SMTP Protocol: TLS SMTP Port: 587 SMTP Username: My google workspace email SMTP Password: My google workspace password Is any of this wrong? I'd appreciate any help. Thanks in advance.

Does anyone have a guide, tips or can state how hard or easy it is to configure SES with IPS? I also need to move away from Sendgrid, as I've been getting emails from people saying how they never received their Password reset emails or others from the forum. 100 a day is just not enough on the free account. Not sure if anyone already posted about this, but I'd like to point out some issues with Members Shop and Downloads and request a fix. 1. If you have files set to where they can be purchased with points from Members Shop, when you visit a page for a file in the Downloads section, even if you don't have enough points to download the file, or even if you have 0 points, the button still says 'Download this file'. Is there any way that the button could show different text, or even a red button if they don't have enough points to download the file to begin with? 2. If someone does not have enough points to download a file, but they still click the 'Download this file' button, they will see my terms that I wrote first, then they click the 'Agree & Download' button, then they get the message 'You don't have enough Points to download this file'. So if something can be done, as I mentioned in 1., then this would save from people getting frustrated from having gone through those steps. ALSO, even though they weren't able to download the file, under File Information on the file's page, it still counts it as a download. So the 'Downloads' count increases even though they didn't actually download the file. As a test, I got to the 'You don't have enough Points to download this file'. page, I kept refreshing that page, and it counted each time as download. Now I want to try and figure out how to hide the 'Downloads' part under 'File Information' since it severely incorrect. If anyone know how to do this, please let me know. Thank you.

I honestly do hope things are ok for TheJackal with whatever he has been dealing with in his personal life. I had a point back in the late 2000's when I was personally dealing with depression, and I had simply abandoned my website, and eventually lost it and and the domain name, since I had failed to re-register it. So I understand how things can get. Hopefully it is nothing as serious. Regarding all of his plugins, it would be nice to know there is a contingency plan, in case TheJackal decides one day that he can no longer maintain supporting all of his plugins. Possibly there is another developer he can connect with that could take over some if not all of his plugins? Please come back to us @TheJackal84, we all need you sir! 🙏

The whole points system and redeeming items, or paying for Downloads with points, etc. is so helpful and useful. It gives the members on the forum a better sense of gamification. Where just by participating on the forum, they are earning points where they can purchase items. I wish this was a built in feature that offered the same functionality. We need more ways to show how a Forum is or can be better than a Facebook Group. Example on what I've done on my forum so far. I work with Photoshop, After Effects, etc a lot with what I do on my website. So I created custom made Desktop Wallpapers, Mobile Wallpapers for both iOS and Android, Profile Photos, Cover Photos, Signature Banners, Profile Backgrounds, that can all be purchased with points from the Downloads section. So besides the normal Member Shop items, they can use their points for all this stuff too. I plan on adding animated Profile Photos and animated Cover Photos, for a higher price as well. I've also added the custom Member Shop items where they could get a CUSTOM Profile Photo or Cover Photo made by me. Hopefully @TheJackal84 continues to support this and his other applications, as this really is or can be a game changer of a feature.

Obviously, yes! I totally forgot about the 'Donate' feature. Of course, this would be much easier. I had the 'award points' idea stuck in my head, I guess because I was thinking of sending points to multiple people at the same time. Thanks for reminding me of the Donate option. 👍

@James101 One workaround I came up with. Select the Mystery Points Box, rename it, possibly to 'Bonus Points', 'Enjoy', 'Thank You', etc. Set the min and max random amount to whatever you'd like to award them, set the win percent to 100%, then set the price of the item to a crazy amount. Then just give yourself an amount of points to cover the cost. Buy the item yourself, then send it to the person you want to give the points to. This should work right?

Oh wow. I guess I will NEVER use this feature then. There must be a work around to awarding someone points. I will have to check it out. Thanks for posting this James, I appreciate the heads up.

I've just recently started using Members Shop on my forum, but reading what you wrote about this bug, I decided NOT to award all members a certain amount of points when launching this new feature. Hopefully this can get fixed, as I would like to award people points here and there if I think they are deserving.

If that's the case, could what I stated be treated as a future request? It honestly should work that way. It's a bit confusing the way it works now. The parent category name SHOULDN'T be able to be clicked on then. If I have 15 different subcategories under 1 parent category, when I click the parent category, it should show everything listed below it. Then to fine tune your search/viewing, is when you click on a subcategory name. Thank you.

In my DOWNLOADS section, I have a parent category of WALLPAPERS set. I have 2 subcategories under WALLPAPERS, which are 'Desktop' and 'Mobile'. The issue I am having. On the front end, on the sidebar in the 'Categories' box, you see the parent category of 'Wallpapers' with the content count of '21'. Underneath 'Desktop' shows '11' and 'Mobile' shows '10'. If I click on the word 'Wallpapers', nothing shows. From the way hierarchy works usually, this would show me ALL the "Wallpapers", regardless of subcategories. When I click on the parent category "Wallpapers", it says "No files in this category yet - Submit the first file". Could anyone tell me if I am missing something, a setting? I checked the Downloads / Settings, I don't see anything that would pertain to this. Thanks for the help.

I was pretty much asking if the ability to be able to pay for a link to be featured or pinned with Member Shop points could be added in a future update, I'm assuming the answer is no. Thanks anyway.

Not sure if this has already been asked, but since you've already integrated with Members Shop, is it possible to allow members to PAY to have links Featured or Pinned with Members Shop Points? Thanks.
