It could be your robots.txt although you would need to clear the system caches and if applicable the CDN cache as well before testing Try the recommended robots.txt

Community in the Cloud site slow or down right now
These dates are from GoDaddy Website Security Basic which is a feature from having a GoDaddy Domain with Ultimate Protection ($30/yr). I just called GoDaddy because I noticed they have new products... GoDaddy Website Security = Sucuri GoDaddy Website Security Basic = Sucuri Monitoring GoDaddy Website Security Standard (formerly GoDaddy Website Security Deluxe) = Sucuri Pro

Community in the Cloud site slow or down right now
This is interesting... US Partial Outage was recognized and they're doing maintenance since an hour ago expected to end Tomorrow at 15:00 EDT. This is from Uptime.com which doesn't appear to have detected the few seconds/minutes of downtime.

Community in the Cloud site slow or down right now
Yes, but 20% of AWS is between the United States and Canada. If you have latency with your connection between Europe and the United States, you can use a VPN to redirect your connection allowing you to have a faster stable connection. Basically what can happen is that there might not a problem with your ISP and there might not be a problem with the Web Host but there could be a problem somewhere in between where the internet connects your ISP to your Web Host. My website has only gone offline on Aug 26; it was down for 30 minutes because the Data Center where I'm hosting went offline. Some recent dates of downtime detected have been: Jul 22, 31 Aug 1, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 20, 29, 31 Sep 2, 6, 17, 18, 20, 26, 27, 29, 30 Oct 3, 4, 5, 8, 9, 11, 12, 14 These probably lasted a few seconds/minutes or using Cloudflare CDN kept my website online.

Cogent Communications had several outages in the United States. There is not much Amazon could've done. I recommend using a VPN with a location anywhere outside of the United States if you're still having slowness.

Access problem
Try using a VPN; there have been several internet outages for the last few weeks. If you can connect with a VPN, call your ISP. If you can't connect with a VPN, contact your Web Host. You can also use Command Prompt (cmd) and run a trace route to see if you can spot where the connection is dropping: tracert forum.evasionmoto34.com Your Web Host's Data Center in France (51.83.70.184) is experiencing high latency and the Data Center in Canada (192.99.146.68) has a network outage. Using Cloudflare as a CDN is free and might help in moments like this.

Pages as homepage vs forum better for SEO?
I would recommend that you: Go to AdminCP -> System -> Site Promotion -> Search Engine Optimization -> Friendly URLs a) Enable Friendly URLs b) Rewrite URLs c) Force Friendly URLs Go to AdminCP -> System -> Site Promotion -> Search Engine Optimization -> Sitemap -> Use recommended settings Go to AdminCP -> System -> Site Promotion -> Search Engine Optimization -> Crawl Management -> Invision Community Optimized Download the robots.txt and upload it Then go to AdminCP -> System -> Support -> Get Support -> Clear System Caches If you're using a CDN, clear the CDN Cache as well Go to Bing and Google Webmaster Tools a) Resubmit your Sitemap b) Resubmit your home page URL The main things that should affect your SEO are: The quality of your content and the amount of content you publish. You can check on Google Trends for ideas. Give it 24-72 hours and you should see your ranking change. I saw ranking changes within a few hours after applying changes. You can hire low quality text writers for $5 on Fiverr. I am convinced that what I know is bad SEO is also great for SEO.

Pages as homepage vs forum better for SEO?
When we had v3, a lot of people used WordPress as a homepage and then had Invision Community Forums at /forums/ But the whole point of v4 was to make a better website suite so you could have all of the features on the same platform v5 should be fine because we'll be able to re-arrange the content better If you put 300+ words on the home page, you're good This gave me some 2007-2010 vibes when I had a table as an announcement box with scrollable text SEO still matters: I'm still fixing my ranking on Google.com after I wrote a To Do for myself which could be considered a guide for others, but I'm ranking #1 on Google Gemini Links don't break if you switch the default application from Forums to Pages. If you hosted Invision Community on public_html and your Forums were on domain.com, going to domain.com/forums/ would've opened the Forums so nothing changes. If you make a /home/ page, then domain.com and domain.com/home/ would also take you to the same place. If you're saying that you made a public_html/forums/ subdirectory or had a previous forum on a subdirectory like public_html/community/, you could use Friendly URLs or .htaccess to redirect everything. 301 Permanent Redirects don't have a negative impact on SEO; 404 errors due to lack of redirects is what could temporarily have a negative impact your SEO.

Javascript problem after upgrade
With major website changes including updates and changing images, you may need to clear the ACP cache, Cloudflare CDN cache, and your web browser's cookies and cache files. Purging a CDN cache can take a few seconds, and certain applications may also temporarily cache your site which might take a few minutes for them to automatically clear. If you're testing changes, it could be a good idea to temporarily toggle Cloudflare's Development Mode to Temporarily bypass the CDN cache under Caching -> Overview -> Quick Actions.

Update to recent version and not working css/js/forms
If you use a CDN, make sure to also clear the CDN cache. PS: After major website changes, you may need to clear your web browser's cookies and cache files.

Not possible to update версия Invision Community 4.7.18
The only thing I would add to what others have already mentioned is to backup the entire website using JetBackup or something like it before you upload the new Invision Community 4.7.18 files. But for the most part, manual upgrades work as well as new installations. If it breaks, you could always try to reupload/override the files and repeat the /admin/upgrade process. Worst case scenario, you could always restore the website from a backup.

Not possible to update версия Invision Community 4.7.18
Based on the error, your web host is using an old version of PHP. It's required to change it to at least PHP 8.0 to update to the latest version of Invision Community, but I believe PHP 8.1 is the current recommended PHP version. If you don't know how to change the PHP version yourself, your web host should be able to assist you. Note: If you use cron jobs, you will need to update those after switching the PHP version as well.

Problem with Registration Validation Email?
I had this happen when I hosted with GoDaddy. And apparently it's a known issue with GoDaddy shared hosts. Microsoft emails like msn/hotmail/outlook would not receive the validation email when using the PHP delivery method, but Google and Yahoo emails received it ok. This happened because the Microsoft mail servers were blocking emails from the host's IP address after detecting many emails from the same IP address as spam. And just like you described, the emails were not even received as junk mail; they were completely blocked before they even arrived. When I was hosting with GoDaddy, I got around the problem by setting up Sparkpost which used to be free for .ORG domains; the option to configure Sparkpost on the AdminCP appears to have been replaced with Sendgrid. That being said, it's sounds strange that this just started happening without making any changes. Have any changes been made by your host like the PHP version?

Push notifications no longer working?
There are yourdomain/notifications/options/ which would affect each user individually. These can be reset for everyone on the AdminCP if that's the problem.
-
Push notifications no longer working?
I had my GMP extension disabled on PHP 8.1 because for some reason cPanel was on ea-php81. Changing the PHP selector back to alt-php81 fixed it. Are you seeing any errors when you go to the AdminCP -> System -> Support -> Get Support?

Deleting A Lot of Spammer Users
Using CDN & WAF can help reduce spam by blocking suspicious traffic before it gets to the website. For example, Cloudflare CDN & WAF are free since March 15, 2022 and include an invisible CAPTCHA alternative called Cloudflare Turnstile. You could use it as a second layer of CAPTCHA that won't annoy real people if you want. I like to look at website security from a holistic approach. Spam isn't the only security concern when managing a website. The idea of using Invision Community Classic without a CDN and without a WAF is like saying you're secure enough using Windows Defender on a Windows 10/11 PC and you don't really need an antivirus: 60% of people will believe you; the other 40% know better. Don't get me wrong, this comment is a great suggestion and Invision Community 4.x Anti-Spam is great if you have an active license. But really don't like CAPTCHAs.

"Can Use Tags" Does Not Work In Gallery
You might want to post that on Feedback. This wasn't a problem on 1.x, 2.x, 3.x, but as features were added in 4.x the number of settings got wild. It took me a few months to go through every little one, and then a few months and few updates later many of them were changed or moved. Normal.

Deleting A Lot of Spammer Users
Hey @Charles do you still think we don't need any third party protection? Captchas only annoy real people. They're needed to block bots, but they're highly ineffective at combatting spammers. Making the registration process more difficult than it needs to be is as useful as blocking registrations. I use Invisible reCAPTCHA and a CDN which does whatever it does to detect and block suspicious website visitors. I've seen several methods of implementing new members registrations. Some old really large communities used to require new members to post on a forum and would hide the posts until they could be validated real people. I prefer to require email validation because creating an email takes time and removes the administrative work of manually validating accounts. You can also setup layers of security like using groups forcing new members to post an introduction or at the very least a 1st post before they can post on other forums. And then use other groups for automatically promoting members to a higher access group. Requiring people to have 5-10 posts before unlocking the ability to post in new sections doesn't remove the problem, but can help mitigate where it occurs. They did something similar to this for RuneScape Communities Discord Servers with a bot called Friendlybot. Main purpose is to auto-ban raiders across large communities. I don't use it because my community doesn't support blacklists. This stuff is as effective as blocking IP addresses from countries like China. It can help, but it doesn't solve the problem. And I've seen people getting banned from blacklists without concrete evidence because mentioned blacklist got its sources from third parties. Third party monitoring tools can only go so far. We need new core features that can block raiders, monitor new content on places like forums and private messages, and block or cooldown suspicious activity using auto-moderation. This stuff is only going to get worse as new AI has shown it can bypass old Anti-Spam security features.

Deleting A Lot of Spammer Users
I recommend getting a CDN & WAF. You can set your CDN to under attack mode. Note: Both CDNs & WAFs can and probably will break a few features until you configure them properly. Switching to Cloud is always an option: Website security has gotten better; but it's still a joke. Just for fun. The OP's website has no security so it's an easy target and sometimes bored people get an itch in their butt. Normal.

Dropdown Menu Won't Work After Update
If you use a CDN, the CDN cache also should be cleared after clearing the cache on the AdminCP.

Quote post - auto reply on a new line
Maybe with CSS or JavaScript. It seems like something a theme designer could do. But if this was me, I'd just SHIFT+ENTER. I try not to worry too much about how it looks when others post since the whole "Let them cook" belief.
