Try to run this sql query to clear all thumbnails UPDATE forums_topics SET topic_thumbnail=null, upload_thumbnail=null; The plugin will get the thumbnails from first images of topics.

It uses cookie to not show popup again. I will consider your idea about clicking X button.

There is an option "Number of page views", if you set '1', the popup will be shown only once.
