  1. Hell, 20 years ago, I got drunk and went off on your development team. It happens. :-)
  2. Thank you, Marc, for what was essentially a perfect response.
  3. Hey, so this open Tagging feature sounds great, but for the past 20 years, I've been extremely meticulous in tagging things. My guess is that there are over 1,000 tags used in my forum, and clicking on them integrates the list of topics very nicely. All I need is some reassurance that all these tags will be converted to the new system (and not lost). For example, there may be 300 threads associated with the tag "Pizza." Will that link, and corresponding information (i.e., the ability to build a list of all items tagged with Pizza), be preserved? Also, are there any issues with spelling variations, i.e., we probably have erroneous tags such as Pizza, Pizzas, Carryout Pizza, Pizza by the Slice, etc., and this may be a good time to fix-and-consolidate them. (When is Forced Conversion going to occur?) Thanks in advance everyone, Don
  4. Jim, this is a classic case of your having unearthed Occam's Razor. One simple question by you explains everything, including why I can see the file on my iPhone, but not my Chromebook (because the file is ON my iPhone, and not my Chromebook). It's wild that on my iPhone, it seems as if the file is uploaded and works just fine ... but that's only because it's somehow buffered on my iPhone. I would never have been able to figure this out without your help. Thank you very much! Cheers, Don
  5. Hello folks, On Feb 23, I uploaded a relatively large (52 MB) video on my iPhone here: https://www.donrockwell.com/topic/50409-self-driving-cars-coming-soon-to-a-nightmare-near-you/#comment-364245 and I could view it on the iPhone, but when I tried to view it on my Chromebook, I got this message: --- "Sorry! We could not locate the item you are trying to view." -- Thinking I did something wrong, I just re-uploaded it, and I can still see it just fine on my iPhone, but I still get that same error message on my Chromebook. Any help (or request for clarification) would be much appreciated!
  6. Jim (is it possible that these settings are correct, and it didn't propagate quickly enough when I changed them to "Never"?)
  7. Oh! It was literally the words "Registration Email" - that did the trick. Thank you Jim and Daniel.
  8. Thanks Jim! (What’s a language pack?) 🙂
  9. I used to know this, but I forgot - nothing I type seems to work. Thanks if anyone can help. Cheers, Don
  10. So I disabled the Hot! feature, cleared my caches, and am still getting this. There have only been two posts in several years in this topic. Does anyone have any idea? I can't even remember how to write user support! 😕 Honestly, a basic tutorial is probably what I need more than anything - I have an advanced degree in Computer Science, and probably could have coded this system from scratch, but I've been out of the game for so long that I'm functionally debilitated. (Are there any basic tutorials available with IPS or whatever it's now called?) Thanks for anyone who can point this dog in the right direction. Cheers, Don
  11. Thank you very much, Jim.
  12. Hello folks, it has been quite awhile since I've been here. I could be a poster child for someone who went from Heavy User (it has been nearly 20 years!), to Doesn't Exist, to Hoping-to-be-Heavy-User again. Injuries can take their toll. I have a lot to relearn, and one thing that's standing out on my website is the HOT! notification. Would someone be kind enough to Direct -> Me -> To -> The -> Setting? Until I regain my footing, I may be asking some pretty basic questions like this - is there a moderator's tutorial anywhere? Thank you to one and all, Roy Hobbs
  13. I don’t know anywhere else to ask this - I tried to update last night with the monthly security enhancements, and it’s stuck. I haven’t done this in awhile, so probably something I did, but what? Would someone be kind enough to guide me to help? Kind regards, Don Rockwell Thank you! 😊
