Custom CP_DIRECTORY not working

When CP_DIRECTORY is set in constants.php and /admin directory renamed, the link to Admin Panel on the frontend stays with default value.

Admin panel can be accessed directly by the new URL, but all URLs in admin panel still point to default value.

Clearing caches doesn't help.

Almost 100% sure that this was dropped on IPS5.

From my understanding custom CP path is deprecated and does not work anymore.

Correct. If you wish to protect your admin CP location better, you should really use 2 factor authentication
