  • [Beta 5.10] Downloads App Images are not displaying in the downloads widget files feed.

    I'm not sure if this bug was already posted.

    Downloads App Images are not displaying in the downloads widget files feed, nor any of the downloads widget that should display an image for the file. The issue happened for both newly posted files and files that were there before the IPSv5 update. This issue happens on a copy of an active site that was updated from IPSv4 to IPSv5. I don't see this issue on IPSv5 clean install.

    Is this a "files feed" widget? Also is this an item that was uploaded on beta 10?

    Not able to replicate when uploaded on beta 10 but I know there were issues prior to that

    I have one system update from v4 to v5.10 and one from v4 to v5.6 all the way up to v5.10. All have the same issue.

    I can't reproduce at the moment.

    Are you editing those files or do they appear to be removed at some point later?

    No, I haven't edit the files. They get removed by the update I think. Later, I'll do another v4 to v5 update and monitor the uploads folder files to see if they get deleted during the update.

    I did a fresh upgrade to v5 via localhost and monitor the missing files during the upgrade.

    I found the issue. This could be a bug.

    My ACP storage settings is set to save all the Downloads App files to /uploads/downloads. Example:  In v4 the widget photo URL and location was saved to  /uploads/downloads/monthly_2025_01/widget_pic.jpg. After the upgrade to v5 the widget URL and location changed to /uploads/monthly_2025_01/widget_pic.jpg. However, the actual photo file was not moved from the /uploads/downloads/monthly_2025_01/ to the /uploads/monthly_2025_01/ folder during the upgrade process which leads to the widget displaying a missing photo. When I manually move the photos from /uploads/downloads/monthly_2025_01/ folder to /uploads/monthly_2025_01/ folder, the photo is displayed.

    These are myfiles settings in case the issue happened due to those settings before the upgrade.

    I still have the issue for no widget image displaying for newly uploaded files. I guess this is due to the file system settings I have. When I use the ACP to move the files from /uploads/downloads to /uploads I get this error.

    TypeError: IPS\Application::appIsEnabled(): Argument #1 ($key) must be of type string, null given, called in /Users//Sites/www.cam2.com/applications/core/modules/admin/overview/files.php on line 834 (0)
    #0 /Users//Sites/www.cam2.com/applications/core/modules/admin/overview/files.php(834): IPS\Application::appIsEnabled(NULL)

    #2 /Users//Sites/www.cam2.com/system/Dispatcher/Dispatcher.php(169): IPS\Dispatcher\Controller->execute()
    #3 /Users//Sites/www.cam2.com/admin/index.php(15): IPS\Dispatcher->run()
    #4 {main}

    Aah. This may explain it. I’ll look into that.
