Hi,

My company operates a Forum to provide a dedicated database exclusively for participants in the training programs we offer.

The Forum is a central element of my value proposition, and I am currently looking for ways to improve its efficiency and management.

Right now, moderation and regulation take up a significant amount of time for one of my employees. I believe it is possible to implement procedures or automation systems to streamline some tasks.

Specifically, I would like to know :

  • Is there a way to automatically ban members who have not posted anything in the past year, without requiring human intervention ?

  • Can I connect my Forum to a database to automatically accept clients who are registered in my customer database ?

Are these features possible ?

Thanks for your help

Best regards,

There is no way in which to 'ban' them as such. However you could move them to another group which perhaps doesnt have access to areas of the site. So set up a new group for those members, then go to Members-> Members->Group Promotion and set up a promotion rule to move people after x time

You would need customisation to do it in this manner. However if it is a mySQL database you could actually use that as a login method instead. Take a look at System->Login&Registration and click to create a new one. You can then fill in the details as appropriate
