Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
Rich N Posted November 18, 2023 Posted November 18, 2023 (edited) When Photos are updated Im assuming they resize to setup specs etc. EXIF data is pulled and written to the database. If you open the image in gallery and click on it a few times it opens in a browser and image can be saved to local computer. (Or any other way to pull the image off the site) those images have all the EXIF data stripped from them. Is this a bug? or is there anyway that Invision can write the full EXIF back to the new image it creates on upload and save? Thanks Edited November 18, 2023 by Rich N
Solution Marc Posted November 20, 2023 Solution Posted November 20, 2023 There is no facility for this at present. The EXIF data would of course be maintained on the original (unless your settings are set otherwise), but there is no facility to copy the data over to resized images
Rich N Posted November 22, 2023 Author Posted November 22, 2023 ok thanks. i’ll have t look in to this deeper. along with removing that last open in a new window in lightbox.
