Just a quick question about the gallery.

I am trying out the demo with a few test accounts, but when i upload an image to the gallery how does the user then delete that image from their album, i don't see how to delete an image anywhere.

I user would not be able to delete an item of content from your community unless you give them global permission to delete their own content. If you wanted to do that, you could set it within that users group, by setting the "Can delete own content?" option
