We are feeding forum topics via RSS that is imported into Wordpress.

So here is the problem. Every night, our WP portal looks like this: https://d.pr/free/i/XB7WNA

We don't get the article images in the RSS-feed, instead we get the logo of the source of the articles, which is at the bottom of the post.

However, during the day, we get the correct images in the feed, like this: https://d.pr/free/i/xNGt3n

Also, see the attached image for the RSS feed to get an idea how it comes out wrong. Could contain: Page, Text

Why would the OG:image change during the day? How can I resolve this? I go crazy!

It will use the first suitable image. If you believe there is an issue, please provide a URL here, and we can certainly take a look for you to see why

Taking a look at your system there, I would advise in the first instance updating to the latest release. You are quite a few versions behind there

We are unable to update until end of year. Is there any dirty way to upgrade the rss-export routine only? Which .php file is it?

Happy to engage any of the freelance coders here to fix our RSS.

There is no guarentee that is what your issue is, but the reality is that there are 100s if not 1000s of fixes between the version you are on and the latest release.
