April 4, 20231 yr I asked about that in a topic at stage of BETA 2 but I did not get any answer what to take care of, or what may get broken if I won't. Edited April 4, 20231 yr by PatrickRQ
April 4, 20231 yr Author I am not referring to "...changes to the Paypal...." element; I am referring to a final release containing the word 'Beta' in its description.
April 4, 20231 yr However, that part about PayPal still causes confusion, as I am not sure what is it related to. It sounds like we may stop being able to get any payments..

It's covered in change log part of the release notes. Quote Commerce Increased number of days PayPal Subscriptions are checked for payments. Updated PayPal integration to v2 API where appropriate. Updated PayPal Payout API to latest version. Updated Maxmind integration to latest API, added support for tracking pixel. Essentially, we changed the PayPal integration and we wanted to just give a heads up for those testing the Beta that there could potentially be issues.
April 5, 20231 yr Also, maybe the upgrade notice shown to self hosted apps could avoid mentionning cloud only new features 🙂

April 5, 20231 yr Management The release notes are universal for all platforms. Those on the cloud packages have a right to see what's new too. 😆

As part of the people that have beta tested, can anyone share if they needed to change anything in the AdminCP at all? I'm thinking things like API keys, etc. Would be helpful to know before we do the upgrade so I can set aside some time to also check it all over. Thanks in advance.
April 5, 20231 yr You may (if you use these features) need to provide the following after upgrading Maxmind userid PayPal clientid/secret if using Pay Outs (typically, this would be the same as the PayPal gateway) You may need to apply for access to the PayPal Payout API if you do not already have it.
April 5, 20231 yr Brilliant, thanks @Stuart Silvester for that heads up. I don't use Maxmind yet or PayPal payouts therefore it should be okay. I'll be aware if we have any PayPal issues after the upgrade I'll share on a new topic. Thanks again.
