Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
annedi Posted February 5, 2023 Posted February 5, 2023 I created this new group "Member", but the Social tab is missing. Screen shot.
ThunderBlue Posted February 5, 2023 Posted February 5, 2023 Hello. Have you tried clearing the cache? What version of the forum are you using?
annedi Posted February 5, 2023 Author Posted February 5, 2023 The most recent version, 4.7.6. I will try the cache clearing. 😀

annedi Posted February 5, 2023 Author Posted February 5, 2023 (edited) Nope, didn't help. When I click Create New Group, this is what is shown. I'm not showing the entire page, just the top where you would expect the Social Tab to appear. We do not have any 3rd Party Apps or Plugins. Edited February 5, 2023 by annedi added remark about 3rd party apps
ThunderBlue Posted February 5, 2023 Posted February 5, 2023 It would appear to be disabled. Doesn't it give an error in the support page logs? Does private messaging work? Check the permissions in admincp/system/application/system/ I think are the problem. Check all the entries and enable the group
Solution annedi Posted February 5, 2023 Author Solution Posted February 5, 2023 I found it!! If you create a new group, you must go to System > Site Features > Applications > System > Messages > Permissions where you will see all the Groups listed. Find your new group and check the box Can Access Module. Seems like it would be easier to have the Social Tab appear with the new Group creation and ask for that permission at the top. This is solved. Thank you for giving suggestions!! Andrea B.
