Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
zuki Posted November 4, 2022 Posted November 4, 2022 I've just gone through the process of upgrading to the latest version (4.7.4) of Invision, which has necessitated an upgrade of PHP to version 8. Along with that, I had to recompile the PECL Redis library. Everything seemed to be fine, until I then logged into the admin CP and was presented with a red error message saying that the cache (via Redis) isn't working. Having reviewed the settings, they were correct, so I re-saved them. I then checked the "Get Support" page to see if there was anything shown there, but it says that the cache is fine... So what should I be doing here? Which of the two messages is correct, because they can't both be...
Marc Posted November 4, 2022 Posted November 4, 2022 We would need to take a look a this, but it looks like your site is not currently using version 4.7.4. Please could you clarify?
Marc Posted November 4, 2022 Posted November 4, 2022 I have just come across another customer with the same issue there. For them, it went away as soon as it wrote the cache by the look of it. So you may find that message dissapears
